KABULjilibet, June 21 (Xinhua) -- Afghan authorities have opened two water supply networks in west Afghanistan's Farah province, Bakhtar news agency reported Friday.

The networks, which cost more than 11 million afghanis (about 157,000 U.S. dollars), will provide clean water to 466 families in Bakwa district, the report said, adding that the provincial government will continue to provide potable water for the people across the province.

Afghanistan has been suffering from drought for years, as many cities and provinces, including the capital Kabul, have been facing potable water shortages.
