HONG KONG, June 16 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6gdscratch.0 jolted Balleny Islands region at 00gdscratch:27:56 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 61.01 degrees south latitude and 154.24 degrees east longitude.■
