The group recommends increasing federal spending on non-defense AI innovation to at least $32 billion a year as soon as possible. The spending will cover a wide range of initiatives, from assisting with the design and manufacture of high-end AI chips to local election initiatives to a series of "AI Big Challenge" programs that encourage innovation.
